Discover PPSU filament from the Ultrafuse line by BASF. Polyphenylsulfone or PPSU filament is a flame retardant advanced thermoplastic engineered to be printed by FDM/FFF 3D printers. With this filament, you can print strong components and parts that can function in very high temperatures.
Create premium PPSU 3D models for a variety of applications. This filament material is widely used in the aerospace industry thanks to its fuel-resistant and oil-resistant properties. PPSU filament allows makers and professionals to produce all sorts of appliances, piping, and shackles that are tough and strong enough to withstand high and fluctuating temperatures.
Successfully print BASF’s Ultrafuse PPSU filament at a nozzle temperature between 390°C-410°C with a heated bed set at 200°C-220°C. Please take into account that a build chamber is required for this material and should be kept between 170°C-210°C. The BASF PPSU filament’s recommended print speed is 35-100 mm/sec. As for the print surface material, a glass surface will work best ensuring proper adhesion and easy removal of the 3D model. We advise that you keep your filament stored appropriately for maximum longevity. Use the FilaDryer by SUNLU for effective storage and drying purposes.
