The TPU 85A filament by BASF is a high-performance material used for industrial manufacturing. This material is applicable to the creation of automotive parts as well as in the construction industry. To understand more about the TPU material, the 85A shore hardness means that you can print sturdy and relatively hard parts that can handle continuous movability without breakage. More specifically, shore hardness can be compared to the rubber heel of a shoe. The TPU 85A filament is a very durable filament material that is also hydrolysis resistant and will therefore not degrade by being exposed to water or oils.
Successfully print the TPU 85A filament at an extruder temperature of 200°C-230°C with a heated bed temperature of 40°C. For the best looking 3D models, it is recommended to print this filament on a glass print surface. The recommended print speed is 15-40 mm/sec. We advise that you always keep your filament in prime condition with a dry box.
