Discover 3D printing with the LW/ASA filament by colorFabb. This is a filament material designed using foam technology, expanding 2.5 times the volume. Create durable printed items that are UV resistant and can handle high temperatures.
The colorFabb LW/ASA filament material is perfect for creating RC planes, cosplay items, and props that need to be kept outdoors for long periods of time. Since the filament can increase its volume to nearly 2 and half times, its density is around 1.07 g/cm3. When the material is foamed at its highest capacity, you will be able to get a part density of approximately 0.43 g/cm3. Furthermore, when the material is foamed at 240°C, the surface will become a nice matte color.
Successfully print the LW/ASA filament successfully at 240°C-260°C with a heated bed temperature set at 90°C-110°C. This material can also have a tendency to warp, however significantly less in comparison to ABS filament. Printing with an enclosure will help keep temperatures even for consistent layers. Due to its shrinkage, we advise that you use a strong adhesive on the bed. It is also a good idea to print with a brim to ensure high 3D model quality.
