The PC-ABS filament is a blend of polycarbonate and ABS. In this way, you can be sure to make use of the best qualities of ABS and PC. With this innovative material, you can create 3D models with great resistance to heat and superb toughness. The PC-ABS filament is ideal for printing durable tools and parts that can handle extreme temperatures. Your 3D models will have a good surface finish that is also highly applicable to metal plating.
It is best to use an enclosure between 90°C-100°C. In case you do not use an enclosure, it is highly recommended that you anneal your 3D model. This will ensure that any remaining internal stress is freed.
Print 3D models and prototypes at a nozzle temperature of 250°C-270°C, and keep your heated bed between 90°C-105°C. The advised printing speed is 30-60 mm/s. For the best results, please use an enclosure. In case you will be printing large objects, then it is highly recommended to make use of a heated enclosure set at 90°C-100°C.
The ideal support filament for the PC-ABS, is Polymaker’s own PolyDissolve S2. Additionally, the material can be printed on any print surface with a nice thin layer of Magigoo PC glue stick for phenomenal adhesion.
